Maison Salad




We had a great 4th of July celebration- lunch and swimming as usual.  Brandi brought this Maison salad...and I had forgotten how much I loved it.  For sure to be on our next family gathering!  The dressing is light and refreshing.

Maison Salad

2 heads romaine lettuce, washed and torn
1/2 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup grated Swiss cheese
40 oz. slivered almonds
1 cup seasoned croutons
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
tomatoes, cherry or a few cut up (opt.)

Dressing:
3/4 cup olive oil (I like light)
2 T. lemon juice
3 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3-4 T. sugar

Mix dressing in blender.  Toss and serve.  (I think this salad is better dressed in the dressing rather than serving it on the side.)
