Spaghetti Pie

A few weeks ago, this is one of the meals I took on my self-proclaimed Neighbor's Meals on Wheels. I used to make this often years ago and forgot about it so I was glad to drag the recipe out again.

Easy Spaghetti Pie
This is a baked spaghetti recipe made with cottage cheese, ground beef and cheese that is a cross between spaghetti and lasagna. I like it!

1 large container cottage cheese
1 pound hamburger
1 jar of spaghetti sauce
2 eggs
1/2 to 1 cup of parmesan cheese
1 pound spaghetti

Preparation:

Put water on to boil for the pasta, then start browning the ground beef. When pasta is done cooking drain it well in a small bowl scramble the eggs and parmesan cheese together just enough so that you can see the parmesan through out the egg. Then add this mixture to the pasta and stir it well! Make sure it covers the noodles well. Then add your spaghetti sauce to the ground beef let that heat up. While that is going on take the pasta and put it in a pie baking dish and form a crust with it. Fill the center with cottage cheese and then when sauce is ready put that over the cottage cheese. Add some mozzarella to the top of your pie if you like when its almost ready to come out of the oven. Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes to an hour. This could make two pies.
