Sesame Salad Dressing

Valene made this simple yet wonderful salad for Bucket.  The recipe is really for an easy and tasty broccolini dish that I'll post later but she used it for a salad dressing, over mixed greens, with sliced pear, a ball of Danish soft blue cheese in the middle and she sprinkled it all with a titachmore sesame seeds.  Delish!

Sesame Salad Dressing

  • 1/2 teaspooncrushed red pepper flakes plus more to taste
  • 2 tablespoonsplus 1 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoontoasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoondistilled white vinegar
  • 2 teaspoonsminced garlic
  • Freshly ground black pepper

  • Finely chop 2 Tbsp. sesame seeds and 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes in a spice grinder (or finely chop with a knife). Transfer to a small bowl; stir in both oils, vinegar, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle over salad. Sprinkle with remaining 1 tsp. sesame seeds and more red pepper flakes, if desired.
